Voice-over-IP
CreaVoice® Voice over IP
The Voice-over-IP protocol (VoIP), is a method to make phone calls using a computer network (e.g. the internet). VoIP converts the voice signal from a telephone into a digital (IP-)packets that travel over the internet and are then converted back at the other end into voice.
Recent technological developments now deliver a speech quality comparable to that of a "normal" phone call.
CreaLog supports the following protocols for Voice over IP communication:
- H.323 - ITU-T-Standard
- SIP - Session Initiation Protocol, IETF RFC 3261
We use boards and software components from market leaders like NMS
or Dialogic for our VoIP solutions.
