VoiceXML - or Voice eXtensible Markup Language - is a standard for speech-enabled applications.
VoiceXML particularly supports natural language dialogs where the caller fills in fields in forms. Through intelligent, automated questioning the missing entries are then added and the form thus completed. Additionally menu driven navigation in the dialog is also supported. VoiceXML is supported by the graphical dialog generator CDG and was evolved by the W3C to the current standard VoiceXML 2.1.
