Interconnectivity for TDM and SIP/RTP
In most cases, when migrating from TDM, NGN to IMS/LTE networks, operators will need gateways to interconnect the different network worlds. CreaLog offers a full-featured, carrier-grade product line of gateways and session border controllers based on the CreaLog Telecom Platform.
CreaLog gateways provide interconnectivity for TDM and SIP/RTP voice, video, and data streams. They support transcoding between different codecs including G.711, G.726, G.729, or G.723 complete with DTMF handling, echo cancellation, and voice recording capabilities. For signaling, they provide all standard protocols such as SS7 (M3UA and SIGTRAN), ISDN/CAS, and SIP with many provider specific variants. For SMS messaging, SMPP is supported. Physical connections can be made using E1/T1, STM-1, and IP interfaces.
The CreaLog Gateway can easily be upgraded to an intelligent session border controller. It features an integrated Service Creation Environment (SCE) for designing complex gateway enhancements. As an option, each gateway can be expanded to a full media resource function (MRF) and offers IVR, recording, and conferencing services.
