Hearing better, calling more easily: how telcos can help people with hearing loss
)
According to research, 19 percent of people over 14 in Germany have a hearing impairment. Worldwide, WHO estimates point in a similar direction. Among people over 85, however, that figure rises to 50 percent. Hearing is not the only thing affected; relationships suffer too. Loneliness, unfortunately, is one of the main consequences of hearing loss.
As part of our Advanced Audio Processing offering, CreaLog and Goshawk International have developed a solution to optimize speech intelligibility and voice quality on phone calls.
Both mobile and landline users can use the solution. Without installing any software, they create an individually tailored, optimized hearing profile, much like a visit to the doctor or a hearing care professional, which is then stored with their phone provider.
Once set up, this profile is automatically activated for every incoming or outgoing call. The acoustic signal is individually adjusted, covering both the other person's voice and disruptive background noise. This delivers a genuine improvement in speech intelligibility and makes communicating with friends, family, and colleagues significantly easier. Once again, “making a call” means “making a connection.”
Dear telecom providers: talk to us! Your customers will love the improved speech intelligibility and voice quality – making people happy can be that simple! Since phone calls are no longer a burden for those affected but a genuine pleasure, stronger customer loyalty and the resulting rise in ARPU follow naturally.
We are transforming your customers' call quality with personalized audio technology.
