CreaLog supports SOS Children's Villages worldwide

AI-based solutions from telephony specialist CreaLog are in strong demand during the pandemic. As a result, CreaLog has increased this year's Christmas donation to the international SOS Children's Villages organization to 20,000 euros.

SOS Children's Villages Worldwide is an independent aid organization active in 137 countries at 710 locations, helping children, young people, and families around the world.

CreaLog founder Michael Kloos explains why his company has once again chosen to donate to SOS Children's Villages:

„Children and families are struggling especially hard during the coronavirus pandemic. My team and I want to support them through this difficult situation, one that affects us all. The work of SOS Children's Villages Worldwide and its humanitarian commitment are truly impressive. It deserves great respect and recognition. At Christmas, after a successful year, we wanted to give something back again. Our donation goes to an organization that is so much more than its name suggests. We hope this will again help advance SOS Children's Villages projects around the world. It also matters to us that SOS Children's Villages Worldwide operates in so many countries our employees have family and personal ties to.“

Much more than just a family for parentless children

In 1949, Austrian educator Hermann Gmeiner founded the SOS Children's Village association to give orphaned and abandoned children a new home in the post-war years. Since then, its activities have grown far beyond that original mission: youth support now covers secondary education and vocational training, helping young people find their own path to independence. Residential groups focus on reintegrating children with their birth families, and SOS Children's Villages also support foster families.

The organization also cares for unaccompanied minor refugees and works with authorities to offer children in care an alternative, family-like environment. In helping families in need, SOS Children's Villages provides access to education for girls and boys, health care, parenting and family counseling, as well as psychological support, further training, and career guidance.

Many SOS Children's Villages include daycare centers, Hermann Gmeiner schools, and their own vocational training centers, along with apprenticeship and further education programs. SOS Children's Village clinics and health stations provide basic medical care to children, parents, and pregnant women; staff there educate children and families on health and hygiene topics and offer family planning counseling. In disaster and crisis regions, SOS Children's Villages provide emergency relief for children and their families, including protection and psychological care for unaccompanied children and support for rebuilding and starting over.
