The Future of Voice: Latest Telco Study – Growing Importance of Voice Applications!
)
The Future of Voice
As part of the study, a total of 231 business customers and telecommunications providers were surveyed. The result: 66 percent of business customers see voice applications as having 'greater importance' in the future, a view shared by 45 percent of the experts surveyed at telecommunications providers.
The recent study by Prof. Dr. Jens Böcker and CreaLog makes clear: the relevance of voice applications will continue to rise in the future.
Prof. Dr. Jens Böcker, professor of marketing at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, is the organizer and moderator of the Telecommunications Executive Circle (www.tec-deutschland.de) and academic advisor to the management and strategy consultancy Böcker Ziemen. Böcker also chairs the VATM Innovation Circle and co-founded the "Vernetzt Digital" initiative.
As a well-known industry visionary, Böcker has already led many studies, and his word carries weight across the entire telecommunications industry. He classifies the study's first result as follows: "Business customers value the relevance of voice as a communication channel to their customers. This channel must remain open now and in the future to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction. The differing assessment among telecom providers stems from the changing role of voice within the overall portfolio. Against this background, a reassessment of voice from the telecom providers' perspective is recommended."
