While preserving and leveraging existing investments the CreaLog IM-SSF Broker is an enabling technology for mobile and fixed operators seeking to implement IMS and Next Generation Network (NGN).
The IM-SSF (defined in the IMS reference architecture 3GPP TS 23.218) is an IP Multimedia Service Switching function that mediates service requests between IMS and NGN, and legacy service delivery platforms such as IN SCPs.
This capability is critical when introducing new technology as it allows an operator to swiftly roll-out existing services. Examples of services that may be provided are Prepaid/Real-time Charging Service, VPN, Number Translation, Access Screening, Ring-back Tone and Home/Office Zone.
