A SOLUTION THAT SAVES LIVES: ECALL
After an accident, seconds can determine the fate of the people involved. According to the European Union, eCall could reduce the number of road fatalities by 10%. Initiated by the EU, this automated emergency calling system (eCall is short for emergency call) automatically sends information to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) using the European emergency number 112 after an accident and thus speeds up the accident rescue process.
eCall is implemented as a standard solution across all of the European Union's 28 countries. Starting on 31st March 2018, eCall became mandatory for all new models of both cars and light commercial vehicles across the European Union.
CreaLog undertakes to help telecommunication companies meet the challenge of processing eCall emergency calls including their supplementary data in their respective 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile networks and routing them to the PSAPs according to EU specifications in time.
